Yep, Yep. Today was another crazy show at Committee Radio. Myself Mr.Xclusive and DJ Banks Da Don, had a couple special guests come stop by the show tonight. We had the pleasure of interviewing 3IMAJ and KP of The Mechanix. Both these artist I respect, and definately feel musically what their trying to do. I'm not gonna lie, shit got a little wild, but I wouldn't have it any other way on Committee Radio. Shout out to everybody who was tuning in, and checking us out, and most of all shout out to 3IMAJ (remember spelled with a 3, get it right, also chicks need to step their bag game up, don't be walking around with that fake ish, cause we know that aint real, tell em 3IMAJ) Also another big shout out to my homie KP, (The Mechanix go to hook guy)For those of you who don't already know, this dude got alot of talent, he can sing his ass off, plus he's a beast on the boards. I'm waiting for that album KP. Last but not least make sure everybody hit up www.rootssoullive.com, we bought the domain bitches, so no longer do we need to repeat, mispell, etc, or whatever lame excuse for not checking the page. LyAsia: The 9Yr Old Rapper Phenom Rapper

The title says it all. Not to mention, Lil Wayne, this young phenom called you out, and made it clear she's the next one in line. Most of the time when you see someone so young enter the stage it's normally a gimmick from one of the parents or record labels trying to pull a fast one. But when you witness for yourself, this girl is the truth. I can't imagine when she hits her teenage years, where the range will go. She raps, dances, and has the attitude destined for greatness. With just her first performance we definitely have her as one of our favorites at roots soul. We also can't forget her dancers in the same age range that pulled of moves we don't see professionals break down. Nuff said, this will be a regular at the show, bear witness with you own eyes!~

West of Here- Expect The Unexpected

West of Here, is hands down a Roots Soul favorite. Their live show is straight BONKERS! I know it sounds like a word that should never come out of my mouth, or anyone else's for that matter, but the words on this one, is hard to grasp. Their talent combined with their energy is truly one of a kind. Also, a definate hard act to follow. Each band member contributes and showcases their talent in their own special way, which at hand, brings them together for the perfect balance. Can't wait for their ep to drop, and definately look foward to having them touch the the Roots Soul stage again. For more info on West of Here, be sure to check out www.myspace.com/westofhere Also hit the link for their song Football Season hollerate!

Tenille: Do we say Erykah Badu or Beyonce, Watch Out!

This young songstress took us all by surprise with her presence and powerful voice. Every word that she sung felt like magic to the ears. She had to soul of Erykah Badu but the swag of Beyonce. Tenille is definitely ready for the game, with her look, voice, and confidence. We can't wait to have you back. Watch her and Velvet lift the spirit of the crowd with her hit single "Rescue Me" Also for her management contact Joel Lorquet @ joebizzel@gmail.com

Ice Liquor & Love- Almost Famous

You think you hear too much of Drake or Black Eyed Peas on the radio. The moment these guys release their debut single, I'm almost certain that it will find it's way on every major radio outlet and rotation. Ice Liquor & Love fits the exact format that the "CONSUMERS" of music are looking for. They have the look, the sound, the moves, and also an established fanbase that makes this group already a success. Nachy Bless: Reggae Soul Hop

In 2009 where all, mostly everything is on its way to becoming One, from Music, Fashion, People, etc. Nachy Bless finds a way to inspire the soul with a new genre of music. Reggae Soul Hop, a convergence of all musical elements to create a oneness of style and vibration. I guess we can say it is all now One. Bruce Lee believed that the best fighter would be the fighter who studies all forms, not just his own. I, Classic Tone have always said music itself does not know "Genre", it only knows sound vibration. We, the people, are the ones that have the need to separate and categorize things that aren't even meant to be categorized. But through the effort of great minds music is ready to provide it's biggest impact within our spirit. Roots Soul, Reggae Soul Hop, my desire and mind for growth, may be the small pebble that hits the water to create the ripple! Bless, I&I To The Most High, The Dread Mon A Say!

Urbz: Ladies Watch Out! This Man Is Hungry

Mos-Def, the Most provocative song performed yet at Shy Lounge. But the truth of the matter, the women couldn't get enough. It's one of those songs from the first listen it may sound so naughty your pastor wouldn't let you enter the Church on any day of the week, GNR. As you pay close attention to the song, it actually shows the appreciation of a hard working woman going to the struggles of life and what more would she want but to receive some relaxing pleasure after all of that. It's the perfect combination of love with an act of lust. Keep doing your thing Urbz, I know the ladies are waiting and the scream "Eat Me" (pause as Mr. 100 would say)(part 2 maybe any ladies ready?)

Divine- Get Use To Me
There's no question to what Divine is capable of doing on the mic. Any non believers fall back, you had your chance. Last night my homie Divine shut it down. I've been rockin with this dude for a minute and definately feel, and respect what he's trying to do. Soulful beats matched with real lyricism, births the perfect blend of hip hop. And in this day and age, that's quite rare. So don't sleep on the kid, just make sure you remember the name. I myself will personaly co-sgn that he's someone you need to get use too. "Let's, get together and make this whole world believe us huh?"
Be sure to hit the link and check out an xclusive track from my dude Divine
Justin Autumn- In His Own Words

It's safe to say that even during sound check I could tell that Justin Autumn, is "Nothing Ordinary" The singer/songwriter, took the Roots Soul stage and displayed just how important of an impact music has on his everday life. His acoustic set compliments his melodies combined with lyrics that showcase his true talent. His songs is his voice, his music is his passion, all you have to do is listen. Be sure to check out Justin @ www.myspace.com/justinautumn Also hit the link, for Justin's xclusive song Lackadaisical lyrics included hollerate!
VERSE 1:
Somebody's baby is driving me crazy it's crying crying crying all night long
Somebody's angry, they're all sorts of angry, they're fighting fighting fighting till the dawn
Life was made for runaways, oh should they go or should they stay, they're wasting all their time in that debate
Life was made for you and me, where each one turns out differently
While you're out running, I'll be rocking on.
CHORUS:
Oh I'll be rocking on
Yeah I'll be singing songs
Oh everyday
Yeah everyday
Oh I'll be rocking on
And I hope you'll sing along
Everything's going my way
VERSE 2:
Somebody's faithful, but under the table they're lying lying lying all along
Somebody sees it, but they don't believe, denying nying nying right from wrong
Life was made for Castaways, who shun they world they should've faced, they're wasting all their time and money too
Well, life was made for me and you, so find out what you're gonna do
While you're outcasting, I'll be rocking on.
Livy: Obama Didn't Lie: A Change Has Come!

Livy, a first time artist for Roots Soul, wowed the crowd and gave chills through everyone's spine with his song Titled Change. Bringing light to the hardships of life and feeding the soul to fight for more. These are the type of story lines Hip Hop lovers have been waiting for, for a long time, with the essence of Pac but the originality of Livy Livingston. The crowd will be waiting on more words of inspiration from you my dude! Check Him Out! www.myspace.com/loulivy06
Velvet: Who's Bodies Like That?

THIS SHIT RIGHT HERE! I had to get my hands on this one. Has the roots soul females claimed their favorite song of the night? Perfectly crafted with respect for the females, but appreciation of their sexiness. The song gets them moving and wanting more. Do I smell a remix GC? And Velvet, the ladies are calling up the request lines at the stations, what are you waiting for, submit it! The billboards are calling your name, and your fans! Check Velvet out @ www.myspace.com/velvetvega
Fuse- Is Radio Ready "Rephrase" Grammy Ready

It's Seems to be the closer for the night, the song that brings Roots Soul to a close and completley together. Fuse 100 our host for the evening performs his debue single Peace Sign featuring AV, although unsigned, the crowd performs a standing ovation as if we were in carneige hall. It can be there first time listening to the song, and yet they're all singing the hook as if it was being played on the radio more than drake, kanye, and weezy. We say, is the radio ready or should we say, is hip hop ready for their Peace signs to go back up. So say goodbye to the fake ish, because the truth is back. At the end of the day, let's all breathe this fresh air and be proud of HIp Hop! and how far we've come. Be sure to check out Fuse @ www.myspace.com/fuseone
Classic Tone & Mr. Xclusive I Just Wanna Be Successfullllllllll

Yep, Yep. I hate to quote Drizzy, but damn Drake I f*cking feel you. That's all Tone and myself aspire to be. And due to the support of the people and the movement, it's looking more like a reality for all of us. All the hard work, contacting artist back and forth, trying to find sound equipment at the VERY last second, dealing with tone's lack of minutes on his phone and texting everything I need to say, has not only been well worth every second spent, but the feeling from the people is "the most high" appreciation. Without you, there is no Xclusive, no Classic Tone, so put your glasses up, because you created us. The Committee and The Mechanix, it's time to rise, lets get it. On another tip, they actually got ya boy on stage to do a 16, Tone you ready?

Mr.Xclusive & Peter Rosenberg- The Fly Jews

I got a chance the other night to meet Peter Rosenberg from Hot97. He does a morning show with Cipha Sounds, plus you can also catch him on the late night tip, on Real Late with Peter Rosenberg. Definitely a cool dude. I respect what he's trying to do and also his ear for music. He plays alot of underground, not the everyday radio rotation hits, that easily get stuck in ones head and both tired at the same time. Being that I have my own radio show, he was really helpful to answering a lot of my questions on taking it to the next level. So I want to send a big shout out to Peter Rosenberg for keeping radio fresh and to keep grinding. Good Luck. Also a disclaimer I am wearing a F*ck The 90's T-shirt. Let me clear this up real quick. I'm a 90's head, I feel that early 90's hip hop is phenonminal, classic, especially in 94, so many amazing albums dropped that year. However it's 2009. We need as a whole, to stop looking back and move foward. We don't need to bring it back to 94. 94 music was good in 94. But now it's time to evolve and push the envelope even further. So let's not take it back, lets embrace and remember the essence of some of our favorite albums, songs, whatever. And keep hip hop music alive by constantly progressing. Peace and Many Blessings-Mr.Xclusive- now back to our everyday blog
Will Wagner Music- Undeniable

This 24-year-old has spent the last few years organizing his material and honing his skills on guitar and piano in preparation for his debut release, which is now upon the horizon. His passionate vocals deliver heartfelt lyrics and when they intermix with his delicate instrumentals, they create a unique blend that's both soothing and personal. Fans can both relate to and admire his presentation and performance, as he's gifted with a stage presence that will be sure to engross the audience. Be sure to check out Will Wagner music @ www.myspace.com/willwagnermusic In addition check out the link below for an xclusive track from Will Wagner- it's safe to say, I think he got his pitch back!
GT- Heavyweight in The Game

It's very rarely that you'll find an artist with so much swag, and what's even crazier, is that an artist that has enough of it, to simply define their career. Put Soulja Boy and Fabolous in a pot and you got GT. He's got the combination of showmanship and lyrical ability, to keep both the street and the ladies satisfied and begging for more. For more info on GT check his myspace out @ www.myspace.com/gtheavyweight
AV- Triple Threat to The Game

There's no limit to what AV's capable of doing. He's a singer, songwriter and producer. And better yet, he's good at all three. Homeboy opened up Roots Soul last Tuesday, no mic check, no nothing, and still killed it. All I can say is Ne-Yo better not slip up, because AV'S coming for that number 1 spot. hollerate! If you like good music, Be sure to check out AV @ www.myspace.com/antoniotime Also hit the link for AV's new single Pretty Brown Eyes
PRYCLSS- Are His Words

I'll be the first one to say, it takes alot for a man to go up on stage, no beat, no music, just a microphone and a voice, and speak their mind. But Pryclss, makes it look easy. He has the spoken word from God and the flow from the street. Both those qualities are a good enough reason to stand out. Be sure to check out Pryclss at www.myspace.com/prycelss and also hit the link for the song The Truth
Giancarlo- The Definition of an 80's Baby

Yeah took a little break from the blog world but now I'm back, and better than ever. Ha. Tone's been telling me about this dude for a minute. Finally got the chance to hear some of his material and I fucks with it. Giancarlo came threw last Tuesday at Shy Lounge and did the damn thing. A real smooth set. For more info about Giancarlo be sure to check out www.myspace.com/lifeofgc and also hit the link below for an xclusive track from the man himself hollerate!

Velvet- Watch The Spotlight Follow When He's Doin His Thing

Drake Who? Some people might know him as Vega, others might know him by his other name Velvet, either way homeboy gets busy on the mic. People today keep asking me about his joint Body Like That with Fuse. When he pulled that song out, the ladies were with it and dudes were boppin to it. I ain't mad at you Velvet, keep doin ya thang, and continue to make good music. You can check Velvet out @ www.myspace.com/velvetvega and also hit the link if you like good music from The Mechanix's
3IMAJ- They're On Their Own Shit

All I can type is one word WOW. These chicks right here killed it. They might have even stole the show last Tuesday. The vocals were on point, but it was the choreography that completely crushed it. 3IMAJ they aren't ready for ya'll. Just remember Roots Soul when you girls blow up. If I sang and danced like that I would Love Myself too. Be sure to check out 3IMAJ @ http://www.myspace.com/3imaj1 Also I know it took a second, but I promised you I'd have one of their hit songs on the page. This song crazy
KP of The Mechanix's

Ceo Cyph's Ear For Music

Catch CEO-Cyph every Tuesday Night controlling the sound, because the last sound guy did everything but that. Cyph makes sure everything you hear sounds as crisp as when it leaves the studio. Much love to cyph for holding it down and making sure all the artist tracks are ready so they can perform right. Also he went to school for audio engineering. So if anyone needs any mixing or mastering you can get at cyph @ downnoutproductions@yahoo.com
DJ Banks Da Don

Yea that's right it's my brother from another mother, my partner in crime DJ Banks Da Don. You can catch Banks on the 1's and 2's every Tuesday Night @ Shy Lounge holding it down, playin all the classics, all the real hip hop ish, and if you act right, I might even give him an exclusive to drop for you music heads, ya'll are not ready. Oh almost forgot check me Mr.Xclusive and DJ Banks Da Don every Monday Night from 6-8 on Committee Radio. All artist email me @ Mr.Xclusive516@gmail.com if your interested in being a guest on are show.
Fuse 100- I'll Be Your Host For This Evening

When he ain't in the studio making bangers, or when he ain't producing beats for other peoples projects, Fuse is on stage every Tuesday night as the Roots Soul frontman. I'm telling everybody now you don't want to miss it. Because it's a gurantee that Fuse is gonna shut that stage down, whether by hosting or rocking the mic, the dude's nice. What's crazy is I had Fuse on The Committee Radio Show awhile back, and he came up there, we interviewed him, he spit some bars, and I was like he good. But I aint' gonna lie, not until I saw his stage show, I was like yo he go in. Shout outs to Fuse 100. Check him out at www.myspace.com/fuseone And in addition check out this song Peace Sign really feeling this one. That's enough for now so Let Me Say Goodbye and I'll See U Laterrrr! hollerate
How It All Began

Yea Yea what up world allow me to re-introduce myself my name is Mr.Xclusive. To kind of sum it up on how this all happened, I've known Classic Tone since high school. Our friendship started due to the passion we both had for music. We actually both were trying to do the breakdance thang. But then I realized I'm a white jewish kid with little to no rhythm so it just wasn't meant to be, But I aint mad. So next I was tryin to do the rapping thing. Back then dude wasn't making beats, like he do now, by the way let me plug him real quick check him out at www.myspace.com/classictone HE GOT FIRE!!! Any way so we would record from time to time at his house, I actually still have the first shit we ever recorded, kind of crazy. We thought that shit was hot, hearing it now, Im like hope this shit dont leak. Nevertheless, we always connected on a music level. It's kind of wierd because sometimes I'd see him for a month straight and work on some things with him and then other times I wouldn't hear from him for like 2 years. Kind of funny how shit works. So moving foward to present day, before this gets too emo for ya'll. I was supposed to help a friend get some artists for a performance night being held at Shy Lounge. Being that I host my own radio show with my dude DJ Banks Da Don, I come in contact with various artists. I hit up and Tone and was like Yo! I need some more performers. For whatever reasons, poor planning etc. The gig got cancelled 3hrs before mic check. Leave it to hip hop shows, go figure. Anyway, Tone and I decided to use this to make us stronger and instead of focusing on just hip hop, why not unite all different genres of music into one night. Fucking Genius. To this day I believe good music will always find a way to be heard, no matter what type of genre it is. So in conclusion we came together to showcase up and coming acts who can now use Roots Soul as an outlet to artistically express themselves and their talent. I'm sorry it took so long just wanted to fill everyone in on how this all started. And to tell you the truth it's just the beginning. (In Puff's voice) As We Proceed To Give You What You Need! So check us out show some love. Peace
